Chapman University Chair sends thanks for Casola Prize Award
Italian university programs across Southern California are fortunate to be able to count on the support of organizations such as The Patrons of Italian Culture. The Casola Prize, which this organization oversees, provides outstanding students with financial support to continue their studies in Italian language and culture at the higher levels of academia. The Italian Studies program at Chapman University, which I direct, pride itself of having two of its brightest students among the recipients of this award: Marco Saglimbeni, a double major in Biology and Italian Studies was awarded the Casola Prize in 2014; and Ms. Grace Montgomery, currently pursuing a major in Business Administration and a minor Italian Studies, is one of this year's winners.
I'm deeply grateful to the Casola Trust and Prize and the Patrons of Italian Culture for the unwavering support of education, specifically Italian, and for the recognition given to our deserving students.
