2025 was a somewhat difficult year for many but the Patrons did enjoy a successful year by any measure. The 2024 Christmas Gala was held at the De Pietro villa A piano recital was performed by 2022 Casola winner, Mr. Davide Di Rienzo, Ph.C master pianist.
We continue to await the re-opening of the Getty Villa 'members only' luncheon and tour event. Further information will be posted when available.
Applications for our 2025 Casola Prize and High School grant programs also increased. At the August Ferragosto, held at Urban Press Winery in Burbank, PIC awarded 3 Casola Prizes of $2,000 each and awarded 3 significant H.S. senior grants. The scholarships awarded in 2025 totaled $6,500, bringing our scholarship award total to more than $60,000; news articles and event photos are always available on the Patron's website, picla.org.
Once again, the Robert De Pietro's hosted the 2025Christmas Gala at their magnificent hilltop villa. St. Monica's Academy choir performed a series of classical songs and a wonderful luncheon, catered by Eastside Market, was enjoyed by all. Visit our website for event photos.
Applications for the 2026 Casola Prize and our High School Senior grants will be posted to the PIC website by early February. All eligible university students can download the Casola application form and must complete the mail-in process by the April 30 deadline. High school seniors can also apply for grants via the website forms.
Membership renewal is also available via the website. Just download the form and mail with membership dues to our P.O. box. We remind you of the many benefits of joining our exciting Italian organization or renewing your membership.
